It now certainly feels like our trip is coming to an end. We have crossed our final border, moving into SA from WA. After camping in Streaky Bay, Raelene’s home for 4 years in her childhood, we headed down the Eyre Peninsula, staying in Coffin Bay before heading to Port Lincoln for Xmas. Then heading home on Boxing Day to arrive back in Adelaide on the 27th – exactly 365 days since we started the trip of a lifetime.
Without sounding too melancholy or cliched, it really has been the trip of a lifetime & has delivered much more than we expected. We feel truly blessed to have seen so many beautiful places, met many truly remarkable people & in doing so, making many lifelong friends. But the greatest joy of all has been that we have done it all together. For a whole year we have shared the joys, the laughs, the surprises and occasionally the tears, living in a small 17ft caravan. We have called it COL (Caravan of Love) – a more appropriate name there could not be. It has been a gift & a blessing that we are truly grateful for.
